Comcast was looking to us to show viewers the difference between their service and the other guys. Our idea was to show companies with long-term contracts as the bad boyfriend you have to PAY to leave. (As seen on the Super Bowl!)

As more young customers jettison their land lines for cell phone only service, our client wanted a compelling argument for hanging on to that old “home phone”. In this spot, our young mom talks about a feature she loves about her service with Midcontinent…in an entertaining way.

A big screen can be a big disappointment without high def service from Midcontinent. But how do you explain that idea to customers who just want to “plug & play” with their new LCD’s? This spot shows you don’t have to be an electronics brainiac to have great picture and sound on your new big ass TV.

For nearly a decade, we created a lot of work for one of the region’s biggest HMO’s, including the very popular “Proud” campaign. Our theme song was used often after we licensed it for use by HealthPartners…but our client can say, with pride, that “you heard it here first!”

Creativity doesn’t always have to cost a small fortune. G Will wanted people to know their prices were low because their ads were CHEAP. We created this campaign using the actual surveillance cameras inside the stores…as well as actual employees, like our friend, Tony, here. (Not his real name.)

People’s, a small, but robust community bank, was looking for a way to demonstrate their friendly personality, while also selling their seasoned staff and state-of-the-art technology. Enter Ken, a banker with a boatload of experience and a big personality. This spot was a good ambassador for the bank. Just like Ken and his colleagues.

One of our Quasimodo specialties is man-on-the-street radio, TV & videos. (You can see more of them in our “Gary-on-the-street” page.) In this campaign, Gary visited Play It Again Sports stores and interviewed real customers as they shopped. There is nothing like real people making real comments.

A continuation of the “Proud” campaign, this spot helped encourage customers to use more of the online services from HealthPartners…while acknowledging for many, their kids are the ones leading the way online. A sweet spot with a little laugh at the end.

I certainly don’t encourage clients to come to us with NO budget, occasionally we do find ways to get things done for next to nothing… including using home movies of my family’s pets. This spot ran during Timberwolves games and, according to some friends, when this commercial came on, they were riveted to their screens.

I don’t know if it still exists, but this spot launched what was then a new all-infomercial cable network. I kid you not. Working with Three Monkeys who did the animation, we created this for people who say, “Darn, I missed part of that Pocket Fisherman informercial. When can I see it again?”
